Mission

ARC of Greater Milwaukee’s Mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with developmental and related disabilities, their families, and the community through information, education, advocacy and life planning services.

Vision

ARC of Greater Milwaukee envisions an inclusive community in which individuals with disabilities and their support networks experience full participation and maximized independence. This community will value the rights, hopes, dreams and contributions of all people with disabilities.

Goals

  • Promote people with disabilities and their contribution to the community
  • Ensure that people with disabilities are treated with dignity and respect
  • Respond to service needs in an efficient and timely manner
  • Provide the highest quality of service to the greatest number of people possible
  • Provide creative and individualized services that are person–centered
  • Foster a strong community presence and reputation
  • Maintain a professional staff that is devoted to people with disabilities and their supporters, and particularly those that are isolated and from diverse populations
  • Assist individuals with disabilities and their families to create a plan for the future in order to prepare for life transitions
