Who We Are

60 years of experience in working
with persons with disabilities.

Consumers

ARC of Greater Milwaukee is committed to supporting individuals with disabilities at all levels and works to promote the highest level of independence possible for each person receiving service. ARC of Greater Milwaukee is working to support and advocate with persons with disabilities to be more active and educated in the disability movement. Providing individuals with training and support programs focused on community living, advocacy, communication and leadership will serve to increase opportunities for individuals with disabilities to live, work and participate in the community.

Families and Volunteers

Parents and family members continue to play a particularly vital role in implementing the mission and programs of the agency. The ARC of Greater Milwaukee Bylaws mandate that a majority of the board members have a family member with a developmental disability. Many of the board committees are also made up of volunteers with significant personal and professional experience in supporting people with disabilities.

Dedicated Staff

ARC of Greater Milwaukee staff have years of experience and training in developing and implementing comprehensive disability programs. Our staff have expertise in the areas of transitioning, residential services, employment, recreation and social programming, guardianship, legislative advocacy and information and assistance. The organization encourages on–going staff education, training and participation on committees and boards to ensure that each member has the resources, knowledge and relationships they need to provide quality services to our consumers.
